You may ask, "What does procrastination have to do with my identity?" Well, my dear, I hate to break it to you, but it has a lot to do with your identity and who you are. Let me explain it this way and open up one of the reasons why we procrastinate.
Sometimes, procrastination simply reflects your idea of who you are. If you think you are unable to do something and keep telling yourself that, then most of the time, you will fail. (By the way, this can lead to stress and depression.😔)
Vice versa, if you tell yourself that you can do it, then at some point, you will be able to. (I don't believe that we are born with certain abilities and that we can't acquire certain skills because we are capable of everything we want.💪)
For example, I've known a woman who always told herself that she couldn't learn English. It took me some time to convince her otherwise. Eventually, she started making significant progress. The point here is that you are what you tell yourself you are, nothing more and nothing less! 😎
Dear action takers, how about you take action and tell me in the comments what you have been telling yourself you can't do and why?
Or, what have you been telling yourself you can't do but have overcome, and how? 🤔💪
